Weeks after a N30M bounty was placed on his head, the police made a major breakthrough in its efforts to arrest the rising cases of kidnapping in the country on Saturday, with the arrest of a notorious kidnapper, Evans. It was gathered that the high profile kidnap kingpin, Evans, was arrested on Saturday afternoon in his mansion located in the highbrow Magodo Estate, by operatives of the Inspector General of Police’s Special Intelligence Response Team (IRT). According to Vanguard, Evans, a native of Anambra State, who have made billions over the seven years he operated his kidnapping ring, was apprehended at about 1pm. News of the arrest of one of the most sort after kidnapper, was said to have brought immediate joy at the Abuja Headquarters of the IRT, which had been saddled with ending his reign of terror.

Officers supervising soldiers of 174 Battalion of the Nigerian Army embarked on community service at Odogunyan bus stop, Ikorodu, in  Lagos. Commanding Officer, 174 Battalion Ikorodu. Lt Col. Benedict Ezeh said the bad portion of the road causes holdup and constant accidents. He said the community service today is also with the assistance of the Oba of Ikorodu who assisted financially but that the government needs to come in as what they are doing today is not enough to stop road accidents and traffic jam in the area, but only to reduce it.
